The Advocacy Team

Quest Legal Advocates offers advocacy work to a large, nationwide panel of highly trained advocates.  Our advocates come from a diverse range of legal backgrounds, from BPTC and LPC graduates to experienced solicitors with extensive file handling and advocacy experience.

Our advocates are engaged on a self-employed basis and provide representation at a wide variety of County Court and Tribunal hearings as solicitors’ agents, either as an authorised person or as an exempt person (as defined by the Legal Services Act 2007).  Our advocates ensure that Quest’s ethos of preparation and professionalism is delivered at each and every hearing we attend.

The training programme, which all advocates must complete, is bespoke to Quest Legal Advocates and the work they will undertake.  It comprises a multiple-stage process combining paper-based study and extensive practical training.

Aspiring advocates must first master the specialist training materials provided to them before progressing to focused one-to-one training prior to undertaking their first case. They are trained and assessed in case preparation, client communication, verbal and written advocacy and relevant law and procedure.

Advocates regularly receive praise from our professional clients, for their performance in court, the results they achieve and excellent client care.

On-going assessment and regular audits of performance are conducted to ensure that advocates maintain the high standard of advocacy which our clients expect.
